Carl B. Fuller Jr.April 17, 1926 ~ October 12, 2017 (age 91)
Carl B. Fuller Jr., age 91, of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born in Elwood on April 17, 1926, to the late Carl and Florence (Babb) Fuller. Carl served our country in the United State Army during World War II.
On February 28, 1948 he married the love of his life, Charlotte Elaine(Burton) Fuller and she passed away on February 12, 2011.Carl retired after 30 years of service at Fisher Body in Anderson,where he was a fork lift driver and a member of the UAW 977. In his spare time Carl enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, gardening and working in his garage. Special thanks is extended to Carl's oldest granddaughter, Angel for being his caretaker.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Karla York (David) Smith of Atlanta, daughter, Brenda (Kenneth) Runyan of Fairmount, son, Steven (Penny Patton) Fuller of Elwood, nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Debbie Winberg, sister, Beverly (David) Boivin, sister, Florence (Ronald) Langley, sister, Barbara Nabb, several nieces and nephews, and close friend and neighbor, Maxine McCorkle. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Carl Fuller, mother, Florence Fuller, grandson K.C. Runyan, brother, Rev. Kenneth Fuller, sister, Garnell Phifer, brother, Jerry Fuller, sister, Deloris Pennington, sister, Carmin Watson, brother, David Fuller, brother, Russell Fuller, and brother, Daniel Fuller.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Ron Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be given in Carl's honor to K.C. Runyan scholarship fund at Community Foundation, 505 West Third Street, Marion, IN. or through the funeral home.
