It is with a heavy heart that we announce that, Chad Michael "Tiny" Elder, age 40, of Elwood, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.
He was born in Elwood on January 17, 1977, to James Elder and Diana (Humphrey) Elder Ball. Chad was a 1995 graduate of Frankton High School. He worked at Perfecto Tool and Kent Machine for several years. Most recently he worked for Triple S Tire in Elwood as a tire technician. Chad lived a short, but very happy life. More than anything he loved spending time with his children. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle with good friends. Chad surrounded himself with a loving family and several cherished friends. He will be mourned and missed by many.
His loving survivors include his mother, Diana Ball of Elwood, son, Garrett Elder of Elwood, Daughter, Grace M. Elder, brother, Jeff (wife Lorrie) Elder of Norman, sister, Lana ( husband Sean) Augustus of Syracuse, NY, sister, Cheryl (husband Scott) Stanley of Frankton, nephew, Brandon Elder, niece, Erin (husband Stephen) Orban, nephew, Nash Augustus, nephew, Broc Augustus, nephew, Dayton Stanley, niece, Sarah Stanley, nephew, Riley Blackford, niece, Kensey Blackford, niece, Emilee Blackford, nephew, Chandler Blackford, niece, Lucy Blackford, nephew, Aidan Blackford, niece, Keshia Ochoa, nephew, Landon Ocoha, nephew, Andrew Hanna, step-brother, Andy Ball, step-sister, Anna Hanna, and former spouse, Carrie Elder. Chad was preceded in death by his father, James Kent Elder, step-father, Darrell Ball, and his grandparents,.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
