Franklin D. Porter, age 86, of Windfall, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on March 23, 1933, in Windfall the son of Virgil and Jewel (Rogers) Porter.
On January 10, 1955 he married the love of his life JoAnne (DeLaVergne) Porter.
Frank retired as Owner Operator of Porter Drilling. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of Tipton American Legion and a life member of Elwood Conservation Club.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, JoAnne Porter of Windfall, son, Virgil (Jeana Marie) Porter of Sharpsville, daughter, Lisa (Andy) Clark, daughter in law, Dee Ann Porter of Windfall, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Betty Jo (Don) Askren of Tipton, several nieces & nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil & Jewel Porter, son, Victor Porter, sister, Rachel Sue Hawkins, brothers, Michael & Robert Porter and a granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Porter.
Private family graveside services will be held in Brookside Cemetery in Windfall.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
