Linda Kay Jarrett Bradburn Parsons went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 after enduring Parkinson’s Disease for two decades. Linda was born on March 29, 1940 in Madison County, Indiana where she would go on to live and raise her family as a dedicated and cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her infant great-great granddaughter and great-great grandson will learn of her life and legacy by those of us who loved her.
Linda married her high school sweetheart, Darrell Bradburn in 1958 and they lovingly cared for each other and their five children until his untimely death in 1987. She found love again and was married to M. Robert Parsons on Christmas day 1993. They were happily married and shared their life together for 22 years until she lost him to cancer as well.
A pillar in her community, Linda worked for many years under a grant program for Purdue University teaching young parents how to provide well-balanced meals for their children while also influencing them with her goodwill, thoughtfulness and Christian spirit. Linda was also a proud innovator while working at a retail store in Elwood, creating the first end cap displays similar to those commonly used today. She was respected and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Emmit and Alice Jarrett; her infant brother, Kenny; both her husbands; brother-in-law William Heady; stepson, Joseph Parsons; and grandson, Chad Parsons.
