Marjorie S. (Stansberry) Shaw

March 7, 1924 ~ September 21, 2019 (age 95)


Marjorie S. Shaw, age 95, of Frankton, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus.
Marjorie was born on March 7, 1924, in Elwood the daughter of  Charles and Dorine (Snyder) Stansberry.
On Dec. 24,1941,  she married the love of her life Estel Shaw and he passed away July 22, 2005.
Marjorie retired in 1978, from Delco Remy after 30 years of service.  She was a member of Frankton Christian Church and UAW 662.  Marjorie enjoyed crocheting, quilting, crafting and baking.  She always made special hand made gifts for family and friends.  She enjoyed shopping trips to Shipshewana with her daughter and friends.  In later years she enjoyed doing crafts and going on "out and abouts" at Bethany Pointe.
Marjorie's family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Pointe for the excellent care given to her.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Galbreath of Frankton, grandchildren, Jerry & wife Lorna Galbreath and Tracy Howey both of Frankton, great grandchildren, Brandon & wife Julie Howey, Keaton Howey, Justin Galbreath and Brooklynn Galbreath,  3 great-great grandchildren, Dakotah, London & Boston Galbreath, chosen granddaughter, Robin Wagner, sister in laws, Shelba (Ken) Enright of AZ and Glenadine Klann of MI, several nieces & nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Dorine Stansberry, husband, Estel Shaw, sister, Jane  Cooper, brother, Robert Stansberry, son-in-law, Jerry J. Galbreath, brothers-in-law, Gene Shaw and Max Shaw, sisters-in-law, Vivian Gaither, Twila Phenis, and Carol Wardwell, Nephew William C. Cooper, and great nephew, Brad Stansberry.
Funeral service celebrating Marjorie's life will be at 11:00 am Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton with her nephew Pastor Jeff Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. and IOOF Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Brad Stansberry Scholarship Fund.
