Yvonne M. Odom, age 95, of Anderson and formerly of Frankton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her residence.
Yvonne was born on May 16, 1924, in Elwood to the late Cedric and Ruey (Norris) Burger.
She married Russell Harper in 1948 and he passed away on June 14, 1986. She later married John Odom on May 16, 1993 and he passed away on Dec. 8, 2013. Yvonne was formerly employed at General Motors and Frankton High School where she was a cook for 14 years. She was a former member of the K of P Pythian Sisters and secretary of the Frankton Heritage Days. Yvonne enjoyed baking, camping and playing Bingo.
Yvonne is survived by her son, James (Linda) Harper of Frankton, two daughters, Luann (James) Day of FL and Annette (Jeff) Rogers of Fishers, four grandsons, Matthew (Holly) Harper, Andrew (Olivia) Harper, River Day, & Treavor Rogers, five great-grandchildren, Adalyn , Jenean Yvonne, Justin, Brooklyn & Carrigan Harper, nephews, James & Bart Burger, Victor, Paul & Monty Kemper
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Cedric & Ruey Burger and a brother, James Burger.
A gathering time for an informal visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2019, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton. Burial will follow at the K of P and IOOF Cemetery in Frankton.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Animal Shelter.
