Jannice Ellen (Nash) Peterson Obituary (1942 - 2015)

Jannice Ellen Peterson, age 72, of Frankton, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Jannice was born in Elwood on April 15, 1942, to the late Sterrettand Grace(Kuhn) Nash . Jannice graduated in 1960 from Frankton High School. She went on and completed her undergraduate studies at Anderson College, and earned her Masters Degree from Ball State University. Jannice began her teaching career in January 1976, teaching at Frankton Elementary. Jannice ended her teaching career, after 26 years of service at Lapel Schools in 2002. Jannice was active in the community. She was a member of the Frankton Lions Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, I.S.T.A., was a member of the Shiloh Friends Church and recently attended the Frankton Wesleyan Church. Jannice was a volunteer at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital where she has volunteered over 2300 hours. Jannice is survived by her Son, Brad & wife Tina Samuels of Ft. Wayne, In; Brother, Gary & wife Nancy Nash of Indianapolis, IN, Niece, Heather & husband Patrick Rubeck, Nephew, Ryan Nash, Step Son, Mike & wife Chelsie Peterson of Elwood, IN, Step-Grandchildren, Jackson Peterson & Samantha Peterson. Janice was preceded in death by her Father, SterrettNash and her Mother, Grace (Kuhn) Nash. Funeral service will be conductedat 1:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Gary Simmons officiating. A memorial service will be conducted by the St. Vincent Mercy Hospital Volunteers immediately prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in thePhlox Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at theDunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
