Charles (Dick) Richard Miller, age 73, of Noblesville, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Riverview Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on July 20, 1946, to Helen Jean Addison and Charles Henry Miller.
Known as Dick to his friends and family, he was a 1964 graduate of Wendell Willkie High School (Elwood, IN). He served in the National Guard and retired from Fishers Guide (General Motors) in Anderson, IN after 32 years of service. He was a long-life member of the Elwood Elks Lodge. Dick loved his family and dedicated his life to them. He worked 3rd shift the majority of his time at Fisher Guide because it gave him more time to be with his family. He was a constant source of strength and support in all of their lives. Dick loved sports and was heavily involved in coaching his children. He was their biggest cheerleader. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts and High School sports fan. His favorite people called him Papaw and he was the best grandpa anyone could ask for. He will be missed endlessly.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marsha Miller; sons, Eric Miller and Matt (Barbie) Miller; and daughter Angie Miller. His grandchildren, Lyric, Lyla and Lucas Miller. His brother Russ (Susie) Shorten, sister Peggy (Jack) Myers and brother in law, Paul Feuston.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margie Feuston
Visitation will be from 4 pm ET to 8 pm ET on Friday, March 13th at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, IN 46036. An Elks service will be held at 7 pm ET on Friday at the funeral home. Services will be held at 11 am ET on Saturday, March 14th at Dunnichay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hamilton Park Memorial Cemetery, 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46062.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton County Foundation c/o Dick Miller Memorial Fund, PO Box 412, Tipton, IN 46072. Contributions will benefit the Tipton High School Athletics Department.
