Paul Luther Swindell, 77 passed away March 18, 2020 at Community Hospital, Anderson, after an extended illness.
Paul was born September 29, 1942, to Carl and Jean (Woollen) Swindell and lived all of his life in the Alexandria and Frankton area. Paul’s love for farming and the farming community kept him busy to the end of his earthly life. He was President of Swindell Farm Supply Inc. and worked there about 45 years. He had a love for guns, hunting, and target-shooting and was quite an accomplished marksman. He also had a gun shop that provided him with many hours of pleasure. Paul enjoyed many hunting trips with friends and family. He loved horses, raised quarter horses, and showed and placed in several quarter horse competitions. He was on the Board of Directors of the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association).
Surviving Paul is his son Patrick Swindell, grandson Luke Swindell, and former wife Sandra (Hobbs) Swindell. Also, a brother Ronald Swindell, nephews Trent (Shawn) Swindell, Troy (Angela)
Swindell, and Tyler Swindell and several great nephews and a great niece.
The family is grateful for many close friends who helped Paul over the his final years. A special thank you to Gary and Michelle Reichart.
He was preceded in death by son Michael E. Swindell, his parents, Carl and Jean Swindell and a nephew Todd Swindell.
At Paul’s request there will be no services.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Dunnichay Funeral Home.
