Saundra Kay (George) Kimmerling

Saundra Kay Kimmerling, age 80, of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Mercy Hospital.

Saundra was born in Portsmouth, OH on January 7, 1942, to the late Bert George and Eva (Jacobs) Witham.  On November 4, 1985, she married the love of her life, Earl Kimmerling and they shared 37 years of marriage together.  Saundra loved the lord Jesus and served him well; she is now with him.

Saundra enjoyed a long career as a school bus driver, she retired in 2016, after 19 years of service to Hamilton Southeastern School District.  Saundra enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and grandchildren, she left a legacy behind that will live on forever.

Saundra is survived by her husband, Earl  Kimmerling of Elwood; three daughters, Lisa (Dennis) Stanley of Anderson, Michelle (Eric Julian) Gierhart of Fishers, IN, Mary "Cathy" (Keith) Marti of Pendleton; stepson, Thomas Shane (Kelly) Kimmerling of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Becky (David) Allender, Jennifer (Scot) Finney, Joseph Stanley, Lauren (Justin) Aguayo, Lindsay (Brian) Bussey, Catrina (Cole) Chapin, Tori (Sean) Mitchel; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. 

Saundra was preceded in death by her parents, Bert George and Eva (Jacobs) Witham.

The family has chosen cremation and will be holding a celebration of life at Living Water Church, 5300 S State Road 67, Anderson, IN, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
